My Life
Recently, we just finished our "My Life" projects to conclude our year. I presented mine today and I personally think that everyone else's which we've already seen have been really well-made. I thought this project was sort of fun because it gave us a chance to look back on our lives and see what we have already experienced by going through our pictures at our house. I also liked how we could put our own music in it. However, I thought the information that was required for the year that we were born was unnecessary and thought it would have been better if we selected our own facts, in which case we wouldn't be watching the same information repeatedly.

Music Genome Project
I really enjoyed this music genre project for many reasons. I really liked how we got to choose our own genre of music to research because I already knew a lot about metal music. I did not have to do much research because most of my information on my iMovie I knew from either reading books or just from past experience. I liked being able to choose my own music for this project too because, not only did this project inform other people about how metal has evolved, but it also gave them a chance to hear some of the old and new artists and experience how the music has changed.

German I Project
So I thought this group project in iMovie was pretty interesting. it was good to work with different kinds of people who have different skills and abilities in groups. It was helpful to work with people who you dont usually work with so you could get more stuff done instead of messing around a lot. It really helped me stay focused. As for the project itself, i thought it was fun because we got a chance to research a part of our school that none of us are involved in and it feels good that we're helping out the incoming freshmen for next year and pretty much "advertising" a part of our school for them.

Audio Podcast Project
So today we get to start watching the podcasts we created about different movies. We just finished this project yesterday, and we only spent 3 days(ish) working on them. I'm not sure why, but we interrupted our group projects that I talked about in an earlier post. Anyway, back to the podcast.. I thought it was a pretty fun project, and it had its positive and negative points. I watch a lot of movies, and I like to share my opinions on them, so that was definitely a plus for this project. However, I also thought it was a bit awkward to hear my own voice talking for 2 minutes, but overall I think that was the only bad part about it.

Class Video Storyboard
All right, so we just finished the group project dealing with the storyboard for a class at Peoria Notre Dame. Basically what we had to do was outline the main points of a class (or a club) at our school for the incoming freshmen. We are supposed to include who teaches it, who can take the class, where it is at, how long a student will take the class, what are the requirements to take it, and what the students do and learn in the class, as well as many other things. Our groups were chosen for us, which I guess was a pretty good thing because we got to work with some people that we normally wouldn't choose in our group. It was a good learning experience, I made new friends, and, well, all the other stuff I'm expected to put here..

iPhoto Project
Alright, looks like I just finished my iPhoto project. We were instructed to make a slideshow of pictures of things that resembled the letters in our names. The rest of the sides we just used to put pictures of things we like, because we were supposed to have a minimum of 20 pictures or so. This was a good project because we were encouraged to be creative, which I guess was pretty difficult for me because I'm not really a creative person.. Anyway it was still fun because we got to put pictures of stuff we like on it, and I guess I like to show people what I like. I'm really in to music, so I put a lot of bands and stuff on it and I put some TV shows I like and stuff about baseball and rugby, which are two sports that I'm kind of in to. Well, this is a really run-on post, and it didn't really make much sense, but I guess it's good enough for this project..
Charity Letter Project
A few days ago we did a project where we wrote a letter supporting a charity that we chose and addressed it to ten people. I forgot to post a blog post about it then, so I guess that's why I'm doing it now... Anyway, this project wasn't very difficult, but it taught me a lot of stuff about technology. I like how it helped me to combine different programs like Microsoft Word and Excel to make tasks like addressing business letters easier. I think this will come in handy when I'm sending letters to colleges, or any other kind of document I guess, to multiple different people. So, yeah, overall it was a pretty good project.
